Just wanted to put it out there that I've been having a lot of fun getting back into the swing of things with D&D and have really enjoyed my time with all of you! As my "DM eye" gets stronger, I will be back to my old self soon enough and the sessions will really spice up. I really appreciate all of the feedback and the after-session reports have been beyond what anyone could have asked for.
There are a few things I wanted to touch upon:
*It will take a while for everyone to get used to the forums as a way of communication for the game. I know that message boards are "so 2001", but this has been the best and easiest way for me to keep track of everything while also saving information from years ago. Obviously the forums do not need to be checked on every day, but it wouldn't hurt to pop on here once every few days to see what's going on and to also participate in various discussions ((like the 'Next Discussion Thread' here taroson.proboards.com/thread/589/official-next-session-discussion-thread)).
*I am still waiting for character completion for Obadiah and Aurora. I understand that life gets in the way, but I just wanted to put it out there. For newer players, I am very lenient with rules and such, but in order to keep this machine well oiled I have to abide by the "written law". Characters must be completed in full before they are allowed to be played in future sessions.
*At some point I would like to host a much longer in person session. This would be set about a month or so in advance, and I will also try to plan in when I have a better direction of the story and plot progression. Keep this in the back of your mind so that we can plan accordingly.
*On my off days, if nothing is going on, I'm going to start posting some impromptu session dates for 1v1 or just small side adventures. These won't happen super often, but if I have an evening to spare during the week, and anyone is available, it would be fun to run some stuff.
*I welcome all feedback and criticisms! Also remember, if there is a rule discrepancy during the game, I will make a ruling and move forward. Please make a note of it and post about it in the courthouse later so that we may discuss and break it down further. Rules, such as Bruzor's burrow, do not have set rules and we will have to make our own at some point.
I've been having a blast! Can't wait to roll some more (digital) dice soon!
