With Maladavia successfully defended and the Gornegaia in the rightful hands of Monty, this (my shortest campaign) is coming to a close. There were several other plot arcs that were abandoned, which is why I think this chapter ended so soon, but I'm sure a few of them can be revisited later. So, with all of that said, this is what is going to be going on over the next month and a half.
Keep me posted here with anything you guys might also want to see. I know there are some details that I could add into the game, like when Dave suggested Moon phases, but such minor details will probably be overlooked. Things I plan on doing will be keeping the in game calendar updated, and I will also be rolling for weather ahead of time or on the fly to keep things a bit more interesting. Here's to another chapter!
- We will be taking a short hiatus until February. Part of this is that I need some time to write for the new section, as well as address some world building which will be listed below. Also, I won't have my full schedule solidified until the middle of January.
- If you guys want to run some side-quests within the realm of Taroson, you may do so by following the side-quest approval section. If you wish to play in another world, there is nothing stopping that either. I, personally, will be sticking to this world as far as playing is concerned. There is also been some talk of allowing you guys to develop Palperroth, which is a continent within this realm to the west of Taroson. Obviously I want to keep things as canon as possible, so anything added I will take a look at but for the most part I believe that anything (within reason) can be done.
- World Building things I will be addressing: I want to draw up a few more maps of some areas, which isnt at the top of my list but I will be getting a lot of this done in January since I know they have me on nights almost all month. I also am going to complete the beastiary I've been working on and have the map divided into sections (Mountains, desert, swamp, etc.) so you guys know what you can/cannot run into while traveling. This will also let me finish my "random encounter" table so that it will actually be more dangerous to be randomly camping out in the woods versus staying at in inn.
- I will be changing a few things in the Players Manual as well, but nothing significant. I will be removing the October Haunted session, as I've found it incredibly difficult to incorporate it into the campaign smoothly without it being a side-quest, which is why we skipped it this year. There may be a few other minor tweaks, but nothing that is going to really affect anyone directly.
- Thanks to Dave for giving me that book detailing guns in RPG's, I will also be continuing the work on my modern survival horror shooter. This is a side project of mine and I do not plan on having it interfere with Taroson in any form, which is how it should be. But for those of you that are interested, it'll probably be run as a play by post for a while or in person.
- Another table! I want to expand my board and will be purchasing and burning a grid into a second board, and putting the two together to have a much larger battlefield. With two tables together, you can still reach the middle from all sides and I think it would open up the game, for in-person sessions, and not have it as a giant rectangle.
