The party left the cave with proof of their success and travelled south to Elmdor. Upon their arrival they found Linnet waiting near the Tree of Riordan. Linnit graciously accepted the parties return and beckoned them to follow him. He led the party through a series of twisted roots and branches until finally they arrived through a secret passage. The city Elmdor was laid before them and the party was awestruck. Linnit took the party and ensured that they had food, drink, and a place to rest. Lyra's bow was taken to be repaired and the party was given a dwelling to rest in. later in the day the party was summoned to attend to the Queen. They witnessed Queen Varonious as she spoke about a vision of the future in which see saw terrible suffering by using a shard from the Mirror of Trueseeing. She bid the Elves prepare for battle in the future and thanked the party for their aid in restoring the Cave of Trials.
After the ceremony the party was received by the queen privately where she began to explain the next step in their journey, however the meeting was interrupted by the arrival of a messenger. A knight and his apprentice had come to Elmdor from the cave of trials bearing the glowing flowers from the cave. The knight was Sir Garelith Maladavius and his squire Mavik. They were welcomed by the elves and the party. Sir Garelith explained he was once a knight of Tellium and was a descendant of the Maladavians and wished to see the true king restored. The party was apprehensive but ultimately agreed to include Sir Garelith and his follower on their journey.

The next morning the party and Sir Garelith sought out the Queen. The were led to a small cottage with a mysterious dark door way. The party entered the door and entered the Queen's sanctuary. Queen Varonious spoke to them once more about their quest, and explained that she did not know exactly what the next trial was, but that it was in Alcadia. She also gave a parting gift to Monty, a shard from the Mirror of Trueseeing, explaining that he would need it before the journey's end. The party bid their farewells and prepared to leave. Lyra was given her repaired bow and thanked Linnit.
The party travelled south and headed for the Legacy with Sir Garelith and Mavik in tow. upon reaching the ship they boarded and prepared to travel. However they were not alone. A lone man stepped forth onto the deck and claimed that the ship was his. It was none other than Bran Carog, a former companion of Monty's. They group and Bran started to argue heatedly over the ownership of the ship. Bran claimed that since he wore the hat of the captain that he was in control. Meanwhile Mizu crept up on Bran and stole the hat straight from his head. Bran was infuriated and drew his sword. A short and intense battle ensued with several party members becoming severely wounded by Bran. Ultimately the mighty warrior was defeated by a blast to the face from Lyra's bow. With the Legacy secured, the group finished preparations and began their journey to Ivanhoe in order to recover their chest before heading to Alcadia.
