GM: Hydranis
PCs: Monty, Lyra, Mizu
The party was confronted by a large band of orcs on the way to Elmdor. Lyra attempted to reason with the orcs but they were blinded by rage and a ferocious battle ensued. Monty sustained several hits but the party prevailed. After the fight a large orc chieftain named Gulm stepped forward. He was impressed by out prowess and allowed us to pass through his lands.
A short while later the party arrived at Elmdor. We were greeted by an Elf named Linnit, Lord of the Plains. We speont several hours talking with Linnit about the state of the world and the situation regarding Moonbrooke, Elmdor and the Gornogia. Linnit explained that he was locked out of Elmdor because the great tree was protecting the Elves from the outside world due to some unknown evil in the land. He also helped us translate the map from Jaheem which read "Lonesome Isle". Linnit then looked at our riddles and determined that the "Fishhook" was indeed correct, however the other riddle pertaining to a battlefield was indeed indicating Elmdor as the location. It became obvious once Linnit told the story of Riordan and Xago and of the origin of Elmdor. He then told us of a cave to the east known as the "Cave of Trials" which has a key shaped like a fishhook. It was a place used by the elves to prove their worthiness to become warriors. Unfortunately it has been a long time since anyone has ventured into the cave since it is inhabited by foul creatures, not to mention the key was lost by a foolish elf.
The group realized the cave was one of the trials for the true king and that we should recover the lost key. We debated going to the orc village, however we decided to travel the path to the cave to search for the key. Alas we did not find the key. Once we arrived at the gate of the cave we searched the area to no avail. The party then decided to rest for the night.
