There are four main steps to getting a new character created and submitted. The entire process may take a few days to be complete, so be sure to plan on waiting a maximum of 24 hours for responses from a council member and administrator.
Step 1: Create a new thread in "Character Submissions". The title of the thread needs to be the name of your character. If you do not yet know what you are going to name your character, put something else in it's place and edit the title later. This will act as a placeholder until you are ready to work on your concept. Please note that you are only allowed to work on one new character at a time, until the idea is either fully approved or your scrap the idea completely.
Step 2: In that first post, you will come up with a character concept. This includes, race, class, and back story. You simply need to choose what race and class you would like to start as, and write out a basic plan as to how the character is going to grow. (Example: I want to make a human ranger who is eventually going to take a few levels in rogue. It's a basic concept, but we will have an idea of how the character is going to grow.) Your back story should include where the character is from, what their personality is like, what type of goals or motivations they may possess and what they were doing in life before they started to adventure. Make sure it fits, or try to fit it, as best as possible into the world. Your character needs to live and breathe! Once this is done, send a notification via Personal Message (PM) to a council member. That member will look it over and if all looks well they will send it to the administrator to be approved.
Step 3: Make another post in the Character Sheets forum once your concept has been approved the name of that thread should be your characters full name, and you may then roll 4d6 with a Game Master and subtract the lowest die roll. You do this six times so you will have six numbers for your stats. In the same post you may choose to either roll for gold or take the average that is posted in the book or on the Pathfinder SRD.
Step 4: Once your rolls are finished you can now go to myth-weavers and create a character sheet. On it, place your stats where you want them and apply any racial modifiers. Take the gold that you now own and purchase weapons, armor, and other miscellaneous items. Make sure to place the items in the correct spots and be sure to include weight of the items and location of item (back pack, hip, pocket, etc.). Finish up the rest of the sheet with feats, special abilities, languages, animal companions, etc. When you believe the sheet is finished, send a Personal Message (PM) to a council member with a link to your character sheet on myth-weavers. That member will look it over and if all looks well they will send it to the administrator to be approved.
Step 5: Once the character sheet has been approved, you may add the link to your sheet onto the bottom of the first post on your Character Sheet thread. On the first post, copy & paste your backstory information and at the bottom of that thread copy & paste the link to the characters myth weavers sheet. You no longer need to do anything, as your character is done. When you level up, return to this thread and roll for health.
