It's something a bit different. I may reduce the numbers to 2d12 for the sake of someone hitting the lotto a bit more often, or we could keep it at 4d12 and have the pot get HUGE eventually! Also going to throw in items etc. later on as well.

2d12 is probably best. Maybe make a cap of 5000gp and 500xp. It would be cool if you work the winnings into the game (like the character stumbles upon a hidden stash of valuables) rather than just adding the gold and xp to their sheet. At 2d12 you have 1/144th (0.694%) chance of a winning combo.
